Y'all today I don't want to go to work. I work in an office where I'm basically a diversity hire, and they're planning to replace me and have me train my replacement. I don't fit in there and I dread going. I know they talk about me when I leave and I just don't want to be there anymore. But I'm broke and need the money, in the past I would have just stopped going when I was using but it's my moral obligation to finish what I started it is just so hard walking into a room that gets silent because they were just talking about you.

You walk into that place like the Queen that you are (512 days SOBER!); but look for another job at the same time. Finding a job is easier when you have a job. Plenty of employers are hiring - we spend so much time in our lives working that we deserve to have a job that we love. Use your vacation or personal leave time for interviews. There is no moral obligation to finish what you started when they treat you like that. You do you, they’re already planning to replace you. You owe them nothing.

I’m sorry… that sucks. My family does that to me all of the time. I can cut the air with a knife. It’s their 
not mine. I use the Armadillo medicine power(animals are a big part of my HP) I make a shield like the armadillo to protect me from their 
yuck and I keep my soft energy on the under side. Works great 
that way I don’t hide me, who I am and i don’t get into their stuff. Boundaries.

Words truly spoken so many job opportunities are out there find a career. The post office, fed x , UPS, a company you get benefits and know your worth. It’s just a suggestion but they are always hiring Costco also great benefits once you stick around. Good luck in whatever you choose. But know you are worthy of working somewhere that your Happy.

I know the feeling of not wanting to go to work I work with somebody who drinks throughout the day and it could be pretty hard to work around sober but I need the money also and I am on disability and it does not pay that much so I try to look at it as a learning experience And how are used to be… it’s hard!!!

Im a Cancer. Animals are part of my HP too. I always picture myself in my hard crab shell, claws at the ready for any predator that tries to get to my soft underbelly and inside my protective shell. I love armadillos though. Ive held one thay are so super cool and sweet. Would not mind having one as a pet if were legal

This app is so amazing I'm so grateful to be able to connect with people from all over the country and the world that are in the same situation or similar situations that I am with recovery with work with family problems spiritual needs I just am so grateful to everyone of you guys for commenting and supporting and for being there for me when I don't even know how to be there for myself! Unfortunately I had a drink on Friday after subsequently losing the job that I was talking about in the above comment, I got drunk immediately at 9am. After my relapse I obviously hated myself and couldn't get out of bed and I'm still kind of there but the support from all of you wonderful amazing people is everything and more I need to keep going and continue my life when I don't really want to
