Easy answer: don't answer calls from those friends, get to a meeting. Friends aren't slippery slopes unless we allow them to be. Pretty easy. Don't over complicate it.

Maybe keep your distance from those friends for sometime. Surrounding yourself with the right people will help keep you grounded.
