In my profession, Learning & Development (Training) being nervous kept me on my game, and helped me prepare. This translated into recovery as I had to use the tools i learned in a rehab in life once set free.
I was told in meeting rooms once I get too comfortable I'm at higher risk of a relapse. I'm very close to using, my guard is down, the voice in my head tells me "I got this!"
That's mistake number one. I need that nervousness daily to make sure as I progress further from our last drink, my next drink isn't in my hand.
Thanks for sharing this, congratulations
