I have 92 days and the one thing I have today is a higher power to help Me in Sobriety, My sobriety comes second only to My higher power whom I call God.

I am a Christian, and God through Jesus Christ is my higher power! However, because of this it is difficult at times to be open about my problem. I have just started really opening up to my husband. The amount of red wine I drink, he knows is a bit much, but he really doesn’t know the extent. I think sometimes our loved ones are a little bit blind because they just don’t want to believe it.

Ok, God will help You threw this. If You don’t have a sponsor I beg of You to get one, AA meetings help a lot. Oh and Your sponsor should be a female, I can’t do much for You other than offer words of encouragement and give You advise on where to go for help. Of course I will pray for You!

Wonderful Diane. Well it sounds like you have a higher power. I had to turn to God to get me on the path of straight and narrow. Life is good in sobriety. Hard at times but when I’m engaged in AA I feel the most safe.
