I’m starting a new chapter in my life, for the first time ever I moved into a recovery house. The separation hurts so much after 22 years together and 20 married but I have to let go because it wasn’t good for me. I’m proud of myself for not using over it. 58 days clean today. And though I am counting the days, more importantly I’m making the days count. How do you make the days count?
I make the days count by actively working the program in every arena of my life. It works if you work it.
Hikes fitness etc add me
Keep working your program of recovery and have faith that you will be ok

Brandon, I've read some of your posts and I've made comments to some of your posts before. I don't know your personal situation but I would just like to say don't draw any conclusions just yet because you don't really know what the future holds. Just simply put it in God's hands and leave it at that.
None of us really have no idea what the future holds. You're doing a 180 and changing your life and there's no reason the same thing can't happen to your wife in her time.
There are no guarantees. I'm just saying anything is possible. You'll find out after you've been sober for let's just say around a year or more that you're looking through a different set of glasses than you are right now.
When we first start our journey into sobriety there's a fog over our eyes and we're not really seeing things for what they really are. This has just been my experience.
Be the change you want to see in the world.

Congratulations on your sobriety time thus far and choosing to go into a sober living environment. That has to be the big priority in our lives if it's going to work.
I understand that and I told her in the future when we’re both in good condition we’ll see how we feel and go from there. But the actual separation was more her decision than mine and the way she talked to me and the things she called me I feel that the separation is what’s best for me right now and all those who support me think the same thing. I’m choosing sobriety over her because at this point she’s gone back out and I can’t let her going astray lead me astray as well.
You absolutely did the wise thing.
I live in a sober house to and it's the best desicion I have ever made because it holds me accountable and that's something that i so need.
I didn’t struggle too much with holding myself accountable but I had nowhere else to go and needed support to make sure I stayed on the path. Because even though i do well at holding myself accountable I’m not perfect and was ready to relapse over the separation. So I did it because it was in my best interest.
Yeah I agree. Me and some of her friends are trying to talk her into going to a recovery house like I did, it might help us reunite in the future. I’m not saying it will but it could. For now I need to focus on me and gods will for me.
