New here

I’ve known for awhile that my drinking has been an issue. But when I finally have the strength to do something about it, it feels like my entire support system disappears. I feel very alone and it’s hard to find the motivation to care. I guess that’s why I came here… I know I need support and help, even if it’s strangers online.

You need to find a meeting. From my experience, strangers online won’t keep you sober.

You are by no means alone.

Now you understand why folks say "meetings". you are not being recruited into a cult. It's cost free. You can believe in or not believe in anything you choose.

You will meet folks just like you in that understand that alcoholism and or drug addiction has nothing to do with will power.

Try Will Power on diarrhea and let me know how you make out.

lawyers, carpenters, students, stay at home moms will be there. Best of all you are allowed to be in any mood. You can ask anything. You can just be you and do it all around folks that have been there.

I can't urge you enough to just try a few. Find one that makes you feel comfortable and then fond options.

It's a quite simple solution to your trouble.

Welcome Jasmine! We may be strangers, but we're all in the same boat on here. I would try AA meetings if you really want a better life. It's amazing what they've done for me!

Hi Jasmine, I’m new to this group also. And I haven’t told any of my family or friends that I’ve started this journey. Partly because I’ve tried and failed before so I want to concentrate on doing it with my fellow addicts until I’m ready to tell them. This group and meetings are where my focus is. You definitely are not alone, this group is awesome.

I agree with some of the others: meetings provide strength, fellowship and support!
