Hi all I am new here I would like to introduce myself I have been wanting to quit drinking for quite some time now, I drink way too much when I drink and that is not who I want to be. I want to always be level headed specially since I started working in sales and need to be available for customers.. anyhow I live in MN . Please reach out as I am trying to get to know people in the sober community

Welcome! Yeah that poison is really awful for us, even a little bit causes us physical stress. It's sad because it's so present in most movies and TV shows, that some of us have come to believe there's some pleasure in the feeling it causes, when really it just feels like our minds and bodies are shutting down but society and the drug companies who make alcohol just keep brainwashing folks who would be way better off with orange juice. Hang tight my man, we don't need that poison in our lives.

Welcome mitch. Sober life is amazing. Personally I drank for 22 years. I'm now almost 9 months sober. I drank uncontrollably for last 10 years. I'm glad to be alive. But trust me happiness is the sober way.

Thanks Derek, I do agree. I'm going to a meeting at 8 tonight hoping to meet some nice people.. I beat meth addiction 7 years ago now I'm trying to be better and quit drinking
