New Job

Started a new job a couple weeks ago. It's going really well. I'm a natural. It's a remote position and it pays sooo good. I'm struggling though. With urges to use and I'm trying to stay sober. Ive been isolating and withdrawing from the world. I'm dealing with legal issues and I'm not sure how to approach them. Ex made a 15 pg report of libel statements, and many things he said were down right lies. I was accused of having over 6 jobs in 2 years.. that's a lie. I've had two. This one and one I was at for nearly 2 years.
He said I have not completed treatment, that was a lie, finished last year. There were so many defamatory statements he was able to convince the judge to with hold one of my kids from me and now I'm not allowed to see him unless I'm supervised.
His published 15 page narrative has caused me so much depression.. I can prove his allegations are lies and I don't know if my lawyer even cares.

If it is all lies and you can prove it, there is nothing to worry about. If your lawyer doesn’t want to give the most rigorous defense they can… fire them, and get a new lawyer. It’s great you have a new job, that only can help with the courts. Remote work can be tough, make sure you still go to the gym, out for a run, or to the park just to sit. Don’t zoom meetings, go to in person. There are several things you can do to stay connected with others. Good luck! You deserve peace and serenity.

I went thru that when getting sober. It's horrible and distressing. Get some AA meetings to show the judge. I hope you have a lawyer too. Thinking of you. Might not seem like it but eventually it will all work out.

You should be able to prove you have completed treatment with medical records, and your employer would have your employment records. That kind of stuff stays of file for longer than you would think.

Hey I listen to the big book and AA/recovery speaker tapes—our head is a bad neighborhood, don’t go there alone!!!

Have you worked the steps?
