I was always taught when I was struggling with early withdrawal symptoms from alcohol to take something sweet into your body like honey and orange juice to curb the cravings. The reason being is because alcohol has a lot of sugar in it. We know that processed sugar is not good for us but has anyone out there ever tried date syrup?
I was recently diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer and I decided to take the advice of a health coach friend of mine and try becoming a vegan and so I did and the cancer seems to be on the run. PSA numbers are coming down so far. In the process I started making my own date syrup. It's all plant-based and wow is it sweet.
I went from 214 down to 187 since January. I eat like a king. I just don't eat like/what everyone else does. Rather than tell you how I do it, like everything else you can look it up on YouTube. When I first quit drinking the last thing I really wanted to do was go Into the kitchen and start learning how to cook or make anything like date syrup but maybe you're different.
Anything that would normally require simple sugar I simply replace it with date syrup and I can eat without feeling guilty and not put on any weight.
Enjoy
