Just joined this community just wanted to share after multiple rehabs/detoxes/hospitalizations (pancreatitis where you get a free detox with that as well included) I graduated from a 28 day program on 1/27/23. I have never made it sober out of any of the multiple programs I been in out of state or in state more than an hour or first airport bar or liquor store I passed after discharge. This time total 79 days sober or 51 days after release from a faculty. This is super exciting to me considering my previous total record was 74 days in 2019 that was all done inside a rehab. I find it much harder to stay sober outside of a rehab facility in the real world. I contribute my success this time to actually attending AA meetings daily and obtaining a Sponser and praying to a higher power. I have never tried to work a program and so far it’s working a day at a time . I hope this helps someone gain a little hope because if someone like me can go from drinking 1/2 gallon of vodka a day everyday to abstinence you can too !
