New to app, struggling with staying sober for years, accumulate a few months, and relapse, hoping by opening up to more sober people I may have a fighting chance.
How are you doing today?
Oh I think I’ve been better.
Hi Maggie, I think we all relapsed at least once. I think the last was complicated by the shut and not being able to get to a meeting. I didn't know about Loosid. I'm clean 104 days. I think for me the meetings and the posts here keep me accountable and on track. I think the app will help. Don't be afraid to ask for help. We all can use a hand sometimes. Best of luck.
I really appreciate your kindness thank you
We are here for you Maggie
I’m going through the same exact stuff I just joined today
It’s so hard and I feel like I’m really good at relapsing
I appreciate the support more than you know
It is very hard I just went back to AA I’m on day two now I want to recover and never look back. Hang in there you got this !
I think you do too
You will get through it. When I can or time available Ill take a nap or listen to calming Hrz music on YouTube. Everyone struggles with life’s challenges. You most certainly dont have to be a addict or alcoholic to have the same problems other people have
I really hope so, I go for an evaluation Wednesday for outpatient rehab… I’m nervous
Everyone has problems and struggles. Everyone has a addiction or two whether its food, sex, tv, amazon, vanity, work, ect., ect., ect. My point is yes I am a alcoholic and yes im in recovery, but i have the same problems a lot of other people have.
I know what you mean, everybody has something
I went to IOP that's intensive out patient, 3 nights a week. It really helped me. Mine was a group and an open platform which was similar to here. You were able to speak openly. I think it will help.
I Addiction quitting?
How many times have you quit? What does that tell you about quitting it doesn’t work! Your Sobriety your Recovery your New Life will never happen if you keep quitting. You will continue to stay stuck in your addiction. Here is a Moment of Clarity stop quitting and start Doing! It’s not about trying to stop something it’s about starting. Something New! Put your focus on the new and not on the old. Choice is yours sober or Recovery! Stay stuck or get moving. Time to go after what it is you want for your life! Have a Great Day!
These are all very well thought out, valid points that hit the nail on the head. I am hitting up the 6:30am meeting in the morning.
Thank you, i like your perspective
