So recently I discovered I fit the criteria to become apart of the NA program. This site seems to be focused on AA, am I misunderstanding?
That’s great!! What’s the criteria? Is it a desire to stop using? As for this site, this is for EVERYONE. AA is the largest recovery group in the world (I think…or maybe I just made that up lol), so yes there are a good amount of people that do attend AA, but NA, SMART Recovery, The Luckiest Club, Dharma Recovery, Women of Recovery, life coaches, and many other pathways are represented on here. Some people just do it on their own. A lot of us work one particular program, but are open minded so that we can continue to learn from others. The bottom line is we support each other. We have one common goal…recovery
Not sure how far Sarasota is to you but there is a secular AA meeting there. We don't make a big deal about what flavor of addict you are at secular meetings. There are many AA meetings that are softening up a but regarding that as well. Just mentioning this in case you don't have enough NA meetings to go to.
