New to the app, day 6 of sobriety. Spent 4 days detoxing in the hospital and since being home. Its hard. I honestly am feeling a little discouraged as i have officially hit the spot to ask for help. I have put in applications with multiple rehab facilities and have yet to get anything back. This will be my 2nd time trying to get sober.
I highly recommend AA/NA meetings. If you can't find a in person meeting, there is a app called "meetings app" has a blue icon with a chair on it, they have zoom meetings every 30 minutes. You got this.... Hang in there!
Try calling different facilities. They should be able to get you in. Don’t give up you got this!
Amber, congrats! When I got out of detox I had $0 and no insurance. So rehab was not on the table for me. I thought about Salvation Army, but needed help immediately. So I went to 3 in person AA/NA/CA meetings daily. Early mornings, afternoons and evenings. Got a sponsor and completed the 12 steps multiple times.
16 years of absolute sobriety later and I’m grateful I finally just did it. The best decision I’ve ever made.
I’m here if you want to talk or have any questions
Hi Amber. I've been to 22 hospital level detox stays and 3 rehabs. What is your drug of choice (DOC)
