New to the app. I have struggled with binge drinking for a while. I thought I would be able to handle my drinking and I did good for a while. But I’m just done screwing everything in my life up. I’m married, wanting a kid and I need to get to a sober point. I’m just tired of having to complain constantly for my drunken mistakes.
It only gets worse. Live a full life with every thing but drinking
Shepman just told you everything you need to know.
Aa meetings.aa . Org get phone numbers from women.get a sponsor. 90 meetings in 90 days.
Please tell me there has to be something besides AA. I’m not against the premise or the book- read it cover to cover. But depending on location it can be quite bad.
Try zoom meetings
Hi I know what mean about AA it took a while for me to find the right 1 for me. They're all a little different. I like this app and sober grid. I haven't found any others yet. By going to meetings and reading posts it helps me feel connected to people who understand what I've been through. I also keeps me accountable.
Don't give up we both know we are worth it. Reach out anytime. Best of luck.
I used to think that binge drinking was ok but it’s really not. Every time you lose control something else takes the wheel. And whatever it is doesn’t care about our family. Reaching out like you’re doing is amazing it means you can change.
That’s what I have struggled with the most. The alcohol takes Over, I lose friends and people don’t understand the alcohol taking over wasn’t me. Because I regret everything I do.
I’m struggling with trying to find an AA group. I’m 29 and I want to find a younger group of women I could connect with.
Look for women’s meetings
Sadly saying I was drunk never fixes it. Beauty of cutting it out completely is you don’t have to start over. You can keep building in every area of your life. I’m 8 days sober and I’m not giving up.
Keep it simple.don’t complicate it
Despite what you may hear or read, alcohol does nothing good for you. It only makes things worse over time. If you break from the chains of alcohol, you will become a better person. The most annoying thing is how socially accepted and expected it is for adults to drink. When you get over the pressure it is a new perspective.
You can get help with a therapist or at church.
