Newest blog entry about my inability to adult this weekend:
What a beautiful blog!
I completely understand where you are in your sobriety. I was once there myself. And actually even in my addiction days I would run myself to the breaking point. Then I would be forced to rest, which at that time, I would belittle myself in front of my family. Calling myself lazy, a piece of shit. That was the start of my downward spiral.
Today rest is part of my weekly routine. It’s funny how religious people say to rest on Sundays, huh
imagine that…
My advice is don’t beat yourself up over a day or two of rest. Our bodies in early recovery are adjusting to the new chemicals that we jacked up with our using or drinking or our negative thinking. I ask G0d to give me my daily chores. The strength to carry them out and the people that need my help each morning. Then I thank G0d for a beautiful day each night. Sobriety is tough at first then it’s a way of life. Helping others is part of my program. Have a blessed night my friend.
