-Night falls into the whispers of my unruly secrets.
The thoughtless denial of delights this world has to offer.
Forgetting the worth that lies between my cold walls.
A ripple of chaos that in my heart feels its suffer.
The taste of, What seems, my only hope flowing through my veins.
Self awareness in just the glance of my washed out imperfection.
Praying to no one with hope of them taking the reins.
Realizing that no one else is behind my own broken reflection.
Almost as hollow as the glass holding what at one point was my drink.
Filling again with fluids that break through my tangled ties.
Relief of temporary numbness as my relaxed courage sets in.
Only to find myself drowning in a whirlpool of hidden lies.
The moon can't accompany all tormented minds
Minds can't relate to a life without dreams
Dreams can't turn to success without motion behind them
Motion can't drive life without fixing it's torn seams.-

I've been an alcoholic for the past three years due to a poor coping method for my mental health. This poem was written by a version of me I never want to be again. For about a month and a half I have been sober and in my sobriety I've learned how not alone I am and the importance of being open to those around. I'm still trying to find my self worth, self love and Self forgiveness day by day. It's a struggle but not impossible. It's not impossible for any of us.
