Night sweats?

Just over a month sober and I'm having horrible night sweats. Does anyone else experience night sweats after being an alcoholic?

Absolutely, they were terrible. Mine didn’t last that long so you might want to keep an eye on duration.

I had the night sweats for at least 1 month. It did taper off before 2 months. I was also a big weed smoker. Not sure if that added to the equation. Either way, you will survive the night sweats. You’ve probably been drinking for quite a while, so be patient with your recovery timeline

I’m 18 days in and feel like yucky still

It lasts for awhile and it's not fun waking up drenched.

Oh yeah, not great. I used to ride it out but that sucked. Keep fresh sleeping clothes handy and switch them out. I used to sleep on one side then switch when that side got drenched. Its not terrible if you can get yourself dry quick.

Yea these were terrible when I had them coming off alcohol and benzos. Being honest though I slept so infrequently maybe they were meditation sweats in bed? Remember you are changing what how your body is running by no longer fueling it with outside substances. Your nervous system needs time to recalibrate. Once I adjusted my expectations of myself my mentality got better. Keep fighting you got this. I also found. Calm mg supplement and epsom salt baths before bed helped me.

Day five and it’s insane

Yes but for me it happened earlier in my recovery, but it goes away, be prepared for insomnia, it’s hitting me pretty bad lately I’m 93 days sober

It’s a healthy way to remove toxins.
