I have suffered with knee pain for months. It hindered my goal of getting in better shape. I thought it would be surgery but nope. At almost 44 a knee replacement is a viable option. I got an injection last week. I just walked 2 miles with my dog. I worked several days, walking a lot, with no pain. Sobriety works the same way. Just need treatment and time. In time, exercise and pt will keep the pain a away. Stay strong y’all.
Keep it up!
Chris - how does your knee feel if you do a stationary bike or swimming? Those activities can be easier on the knees (I’m a PT Assistant). Did you get a cortisone shot or a lubricant shot (like Euflexa or orthovisc)?
Hope you can keep exercising some bc it’s good for your mental and emotional well-being. Important to find exercises that don’t aggravate your knee.
The stationary bike is good. I haven’t tried swimming but had thought about it. It’s was cortisone. Yeah, i am only doing the exercises my PT assigned. Thank you for the advice.
Thanks for the info
Yeah at 46 myself
I use to have leg pain back pain head akes stomach from workouts
But now I got like my shoulder I slept on it and it dislocated and after it healed on its own it's been tight hurting to raise it all the way up to the sky
I could like easier them up to like Midway all the way up but not straight up like I did as a kid hope it's not arthritis tho 4 yeArs till big 50 but I wanna age gracefully you know what I'm saying ?
Got to work with these hands '
Glad you’ve got access to PT!
I know exactly what you mean. I am trying not to live on cordisone shots. I tore my rotator cuf 10-12 years ago working out. I did Pt then. It is still good. The only thing I cannot do is throw overhand. I am sure you can find those exercises online if Pt isn’t am option. Just don’t over do it.
Yep
