Not all advice is created equal.
While it's probably the case that almost all advice we get regarding personal struggles comes from the best of intentions. It is nevertheless the case that not all advice is good or helpful. Sometimes it can be triggering or even destructive.
So much of making good choices is about increasing self reliance and emotional regulation. If tips or protocols hinder that, question said advice.
