Not sure how this works?

I’m new here to all of this. I’ve been sober for 4 years but haven’t ever gone to a meeting (although I grew up in the rooms with my mom ) or reached out on any kind of platform. Soooo here I am :hugs:

Welcome. What brings you here? I stay stopped for many years on my own. Eventually I got very lonely…and relapsed. I had a family and a full life, but I was lonely. Today I’m connected to a family of people in recovery. I do go to meetings. That’s where I found friends. I believe this platform could help you if you’re looking to connect with like minded people.

Thank you
I just feel like something is missing and I figured I could start here.
I really can’t explain it fully but i just feel it’s time to start working on me.
I appreciate you sharing and taking the time out to comment

Welcome here.
It’s never too late to show up at A.A. or NA. The program offers a lot of insight on what makes us tick.

Thank you  i look forward to it :relaxed:

Acacia, you use the gassho/Anjali hands a lot. Maybe you are Buddhist? Like meditation, recovery is something we do alone together. Brass tacks, we recover in our hearts, minds, souls; and it is SO much easier with a community. We are social creatures and where we socialize is where we gain a lot of the energy for our internal life. Here you'll find positive, sober energy. And we know when you're full of, um , beans and will tell you with love.

Welcome, sister.
