Not sure what to do….I hate missing out but…

I agree if there’s no good reason. I assume family was involved. A sold program is a must. Never been to a bachelorette party so I’ll take your word for it .

Haha :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: yes, I wondered about fam for Carolyn too but after reading her post seemed like friends. Guess it really shouldn't matter? But that would be a reason to feel you should be there.

Your instincts are spot on. You no longer want to be a “yes” person. Good job !

Oh gosh. For me, I would feel anxious which would lead me to drink. If Im not with people who I am close with, know my journey and support me, Id get anxious. Layer that with long flights, potential hiccups to plans, many different personalities drinking. I am also brand new. You could always respectfully decline and supportive people would encourage your mental/physical health first. Use the points for something you are confident you will enjoy. Anywho, good luck with whichever you choose.

If you’re early in sobriety I vote definitely don’t go. Personally I know this situation would be highly risk for me to drink. And once I drink it’s all bets off, give me all the coke lol. Don’t go girl. Once we have a more solid foundation in sobriety I think we can re-engage in these types of situations occasionally if needed, but it’s very early to throw yourself back into the danger zone.

Listen to your own advice. "I don't know if..." If you're not confident in your sobriety; if you're not confident in your People, Places, and Things, don't chance it. Make your sobriety, and your own health first. Those who do know you well, will understand.
