Note that I wrote to myself this morning.After not being able to sleep since 3 AM!

I've decided to quit drinking alcohol for good. It has brought me nothing but anxiety, depression, and relationship problems, and it puts my health and well-being at risk. I often become angry and abusive when I drink, and it has also hurt my productivity at work. Furthermore, it goes against my culture and religion.
By quitting, I can improve my physical and mental health, strengthen my relationships, increase my productivity, and save a significant amount of money. Regular drinking can cause serious health problems such as liver damage, high blood pressure, and an increased risk of cancer, and quitting can help reduce these risks. It can also lead to improved mood, better stress management, and more positive relationships with family and friends. Additionally, quitting can help me focus on my work, boost my career prospects, and increase my productivity.
Moreover, by quitting, I will be saving a lot of money. Drinking and smoking $40 worth of alcohol and cigarettes per day adds up to $1200 per month and $14,400 per year, which is a substantial amount of money that could be used to achieve other goals or to improve my quality of life in other ways.
I look forward to finding other ways to enjoy life and make myself happy, such as working out, reading, shopping, enjoying nature, watching movies, and playing video games. Quitting alcohol will not be easy, but I am determined to stick to my goal and make positive changes in my life."

I did the math but got so much more than just material things back be achieving and maintaining sobriety. I couldn’t have done it by myself.

The morning I wrote this post I cried a lot. I’m now over 2 months sober. Every-time I need motivation I revisit this post.
