to realize why I felt "off" kilter. I just realized I had not written my daily gratitudes.
I had not slept well Thursday night, therefore I was super tired yesterday. I chose to go to bed really early and knew the consequences of doing so. I did not wake up and immediately post my gratitude because my best friend woke me up by calling. Then I rolled right on over and slept some more. I know why all of the sleepless nights were because of Lil Man testing his boundaries, or his self-imposed authority figure in the house, of my shaping his behaviors to be more accommodating for Lucy and her existence. I also realize now that my anxiety has been really high and now the anxious days and nights of not knowing about employemt and salary are completely gone.
I was offered the position with a salary offer and accepted it. It was way better than I even expected. It is official and I start in one week from Monday and I get to remain on Admin leave for this remaining week, paid. Relief. Excitement. My ADHD brain is now spinning about the basics of this new role and all that the future holds for our community and the surrounding counties. I am the ONLY Batterers Intervention and Certifed (almost) Peer Recovery Support Specialist in the Emerald Coast area. I know there are others that serve as a CPRS person, but from what I have found out there is no one with my level of education that is also able to serve in the capacity as Batterers Intervention provider AND as a Substance Abuse Group Treatment facilitator as well as a CPRS. This is beyond exciting. I will be the sole provider and my company's on board with moving in this direction to better serve our community.
I am beyond grateful and get to finally rest and get ready for full steam ahead.
Now my day is better aligned with my daily routines.
I am grateful for being a mother and a first time grandmother this year. I am grateful for staying true, sober, and strong.
Today. Sober. Strong. Grateful.
