Ok guys made it one week and on my way to making two weeks. Having strong cravings today and trying my best to stay on the path to sobriety. Any tips ??
Find things you’ve always put off to do and look into doing them. Any hobbies you might want to try. Find a meeting too. Cannot stress enough the support out there is strong! Developing coping skills for cravings is hard, but you will find your niche in what to do. I wish you so much luck!!! You got this!!!

As for the shy part....NOBODY WANTS TO BE THERE AT FIRST! Who wants to be with a bunch of losers in Loserville? NOBODY....at first.

The person with obe week...by just being present...helps the person trying to make it through their first day....

I’m sorry I just caught your reply. I just came home from my weekly meeting. Always remember this though about them, they may seem intimidating but no ones is more unique then the other, everyone in a room is their for the same goal regardless of background and want the same for everyone with them.
Wash the dishes. Organize a drawer. Go for a walk. Call someone. Do something for someone else, something time consuming. Step outside your comfort zone and show up for yourself by going to a meeting. I used to be shy too. There are lots of us out there. Someone taught me that the opposite of alcoholism/addiction is connection. We are the same sorts of people you will find in a mtg. The difference is that we can only offer virtual hugs of welcome and support. 🫶🏻
Hang in the Ash, you're on a great path. Keep busy with hobbies or chores if you can keep focused. Google sober comedians if you need a little cheer. Meditate, and if that's not your thing do deep breathing exercises. Go to meetings. If the first one doesn't resonate, shop around until you find one that fits you. Start a positive affirmation journal. Remind yourself that you are a rockstar. Reach out to people, online or in person. You've got a community rallying around you.

Start training for a 5k. Download a 5k app and start running. It will help with the cravings

Congrats on one whole week Ash! One tip I would suggest is exercising, either outdoors or at a gym, it definitely helps make you feel better overall!
Yes im going to start cause i want to lose weight too
