AA people…. Because they understand it and I could ask them questions every step of the way… from the blow and go UAs, deal with the judge, make a sobriety plan and They also understand my thinking. They gave me rides, support and helped me get out of my head.
One day, one hour, one issue at a time. Do what you can where you are with what you have and keep it simple.

I notice you have good friends here and they accept you as you can choose to do with time. It’s good you have the priority of stay sober.

I can offer advice from experience. I got 4 DUIs in California. After my 2nd I tried to quit but failed. After my 3rd, same thing. After my 4th, success! However, it took 15 months in jail and getting closer to God to dry me out.
My advice to you, is be grateful you are not in jail, but live as if you are in jail or work release. You are at very high risk of doing time in jail now. For me, if I get another DUI, I'm going to prison for probably 5 years. When you start stacking up the DUIs, you lose the privilege to be a drunk idiot. You simply can't afford to take the chance of drinking whatsoever because you can easily end up behind the wheel again. As hard as it may be, you must close that chapter to your life. Drinking is not an option anymore. And you will find that it is a childish thing to do anyways! Though many people drink, and it's socially acceptable, it's absolutely childish nonetheless. Whenever I see someone drunk, I just see a big adult baby sucking on it's bottle. Comfortable yes, but completely blocked from reality.

Man that’s felony right? God bless

Yeah big time. My 4th DUI was a felony. I did my time in county jail but it still counted as a prison sentence. So if I get a 5th DUI it would be a felony plus a prison prior which I think tacks on another year.

It’s actually a misdemeanor thank goodness.

We learn from our mistakes

Hi Katie Im Keith, admitting powerlessness over alcohol and drugs is the very first step….self deception is your addictive brain lying to you…stop believing the lies …..it lies to you so you will drink again….Keith Kayle

Hi Katie !!!... I got kinda good news for you. If there's over 10 years in between the DUIs , it's sentenced as your 1st DUI all over again , at least by Pa law. I know because it happened to me. Just a weekend in jail , no biggie. Unfortunately there's fines to pay but if u never get in trouble again there's no real way for them to come back on y
