I’m “seeing” things but that’s it

Making it thru 27 days of this shows how strong you are. Things will definitely get better for you. Hang in there Jenna! I hope you're going to meetings

At a meeting! I’ll follow up afterwards! Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement and support! Also, for the non judgment

Stay strong Jenna. It’s a journey. That’s why we live “one day at a time”… glad you’re at meetings. Lean on your sponsor! And if don’t have one, seek one! #yougotthis

Jenna I'm so proud of you. Everything is temporary, including the way you are feeling. In the beginning it used to seem so dumb when people would tell me it gets better... but they were right. Remember HALT (hungry, angry, lonely, tired), go to meetings, reach out like you are and very importantly do whatever it takes to be nice to yourself! Be proud of your decision to stay sober today. Go to bed sober and wake up without a hangover and some decent or good sleep! YOU ARE WORTH IT!! :unicorn::dizzy::100:

“MOVE A MUSCLE, CHANGE A THOUGHT!”
Put one foot in front of the other and do something deferent. Go to a meeting, call anyone, help someone, research a new subject of interest. We are prisoners of out thinking, the only relief or freedom i have found is when I and actively doing something different, or the same-like a hobby.

Drinking and/or drugs was but a symptom of our problem. We have to get down to causes and conditions.

I feel your pain. Why are you fighting not to have a drink? Something inside is causing you pain. You want to suppress those feelings so you don't have to feel the pain.

Not drinking is the beginning but not the entire solution. This is why it is so important to find a sponsor who will take us through the 12 steps.

Meetings are great, but they are not the program. The 12 Steps are. The best place to find a sponsor is at Big Book or 12 & 12 discussion meetings.

The sooner you start getting through the steps, the sooner the obsession to drink will leave you, and the sooner the promises will start to come true in your life.

Other than that, you're simply whistling past the next drink.

Just breathe, the cravings will come in waves ride them out. Try shocking your body with a cold shower or something like that, it will help take your mind off wanting a drink (at least it works for me). You can get through this!!!
