On your own in silence

I love that there is no uniqueness so great among alchoholics that isn't terminal. So you can imagine the "why do we say the Lords Prayer in AA?", is almost as old as AA, yet AA says it's neither "affiliated nor associates with ANY outside organization." Where does this come into play? Let me know your thoughts. I promise to play nice if you will.

1 comment per person and no cross talk hahaha...don't comment on other people's comments. Safe place safe space. Especially for those who are asked to exist "in silence."

Why is it the default?
Do you agree? Disagree? Why?
Have you ever given it some thought?
Ultimately is it fair to the new comer who struggles because they don't just struggle with the God issue but they deeply don't believe. Right or wrong deeply don't believe. Is it fair?
Agree to disagree?

In the end, happy over right, and please keep in mind that this is also my journey. I'm still learning and studying and navigating. So far, this is as much as I know and believe with all my heart. Right or wrong.

Here's the link one more time.

Right on. So personally, since I am neither a member nor a founder, I don't really look at it as an agree nor disagree. I simply try and learn the program and follow the program, as close as possible, whilst still keeping true to self. There are parts of the program I don't fully align with and I believe that to be pretty common.

It does bother me that anyone would feel unwelcome, then again this too is any issue common to many, in my experience and far from limited to having issue with the spiritual side of the program. Idk why it is the default.

Wasn't able to copy more click the link.
