Im in the middle of a relapse..
Call someone. Reach out. When you're ready, we will be here.
Bex sorry you’re in a relapse! Take care and don’t go too far. Like Laura wrote, reach out and we will be here for you
That is true, we are never cured. We suffer from a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. We only have 1 day at a time to get/ and stay clean and sober. being in AA/ NA, it has taught me that I can not stay clean and sober by myself. Step 1 We, not I, admitted that we were powerless and that our lives have become unmanageable. Please know that recovery can be achieved by making meetings. Please make a meeting. After I relapsed, someone at the meeting heard me crying that I relapsed, he told me “ don’t worry, you don’t ever have to say you have one day back again”. Please know you are not alone.
Thank you
Me too, I just keep picking myself up , over and over until it happens, I had 7 yrs clean until I tried too go back to FT job as a convenience store manager immediately after I finished chemo and was wiped out AF
As soon as I run out I'll be ready
Would you be interested in being a sponsor...?
We fall, but the important thing is that we don't quit. We are here for you. You can do it!
What I’ve seen is that people can grow, build support, and live very full lives in recovery. Even you. 🫶 Staying connected and supported makes a big difference over time. You got this
Please get a sponsor and work the steps with them, see therapy and most importantly take care of yourself.
My inbox is always open if you want to talk.
Hey Chris just reading and u got me with wat u wrote. And I just read it again a couple different times so I apologize it takes me a minute to understand things but by you saying we fall but the important thing is that we don't quit I was misunderstanding that so I apologize
Relapse isn't shame it's research. We break down every weak move, every bad choice, every trigger. Then we get ruthless. We rise smarter, stronger, savage. Falling is temporary... quiting is permanent
sometimes you have to make adjustments to the plan. Recovery isn’t straight line. It’s building the armour the resilience and it’s putting the program to test. It’s a test it will continue to pass if you let it do what it’s meant to do.
Mad respect
dude.
Keep pushing forward none of us are perfect. Just go again
Many people suffer multiple lapse or relapse in recovery. The average long term recovery rate is 11% in the USA from hard narcotics, a little higher for alcohol. Most failures are due to the patient giving up or stopping positive coping mechanisms to early, thinking "I got this"
