One mistake we make is thinking when we get sober, life gets better. And when your down people tell you oh, "it will get better." It never gets better, but you can.

Life is hard. It isn’t life that gets better. We get better equipped to deal with it. A dingy is not equipped to sail the sea. If I get a bigger boat the sea did not suddenly become calmer, I just got better equipment.
It can get better. Putting the plug in the jug is the first action. I worked the steps of AA and after 2 years I’m happy. Looking back, I felt better day 60. Not drunk doesn’t mean clean and sober it means not drunk. Sobriety comes with time and work while not using.
Jesus made it better for me. He delivered me from my addiction to meth and I’ve been 9 years clean this year.. whoop!
