One of my students asked me if I needed “an extra wink” today. This child recently learned how to wink and takes pride in his newfound skill. This seemingly small gesture filled my heart with gratitude. Children are amazing. The extra wink was the greatest gift.

My students make my hard days so much better!

They really do! And in the most genuine way. What age do you teach?

I teach children with autism so my age group is grades 3-5. What about you?

That’s amazing! I’m teaching preschool this year. I have so many questions, I’ve been thinking of going to back to school for special education.

It’s hard to I won’t lie haha. The paperwork is awful. But they are the best group of kids. They make me laugh non-stop and they are so wicked smart. A little too smart sometimes :laughing:
If you have the heart and the patience for it, I say go for it. It is a difficult but highly rewarding job
