One thing I've learned in recovery is that no matter how loud the noise is around you or the chaos you got to find peace and all the noise and make some kind of enjoyment out of it because if you don't it will eat you alive I've been in recovery from alcohol and all drugs for a year and 4 months and I live with my parents my mom is a severe alcoholic but I manage to deal with it and make the best out of a really bad situation people can't understand how hard it is for recovering alcoholic and attic to sit and watch their parent or loved one drink themselves into Oblivion while you're in recovery and they fought so hard for you to be in recovery but they won't fight for themselves and there's absolutely nothing you can do to help them I struggle with that everyday of my life some will say why don't you just move out isn't there some kind of program to help you no there isn't and I don't have no one else to help me I have nowhere else to go and on top of that I'm on probation and they won't even help me so what I'm trying to say is no matter what's going on around you you got to find peace with whatever or however you can because if you don't it will consume you and it will make you relapse 100% for sure
It sounds like you are on a good path for yourself with a recovery mindset. That is a hard situation and I wish you the best brother.

Thank you bro it's very difficult to say the least but I have to survive this for my kids and grandchildren cause if it was for me I wouldn't stop and just die but I need to do this for them
Totally hear you. Iām doing it for my family. Especially my youngest daughter (23). She needs dad right now. Mom passed in 2014 so.
