One week

One week, day 4 and 5 were tough but I'm waking up again happy about life and even excited to start work. In this day and age I'm grateful for a job that pays the bills. I had anxiety pretty badly day 4 and I need to remember it's not pleasant and dangerous. I think of those that cannot and should not detox at home and how I could be in their shoes if I don't stop. Every day I do my morning meditation and ask God for direction. I reflect on how grateful I am and pray to remain feeling centered although it's the human condition not to remain here. I just want this feeling to remain. But instead of worrying I'm going to enjoy the next 24 hours ahead, try to add to the stream of life not drift into worry or morbid reflection. Have a good day everyone.

Great attitude Kelly! Congrats on the week! If you can do exactly what you are doing one more day, you will have one more day of sobriety :peace_symbol:

Day 4 and 5 are notoriously difficult! I’m on day 5 today, feeling supported so I should be able to get through! Congratulations on a week! That’s stellar work!
