Woohoo
congratulations on one week! Keep going!
Sorry you had covid
Thatβs a nasty
virus
That's awesome girl!! You ever try high noon tea, and then treat yourself to some decadent sweets. I'm far from English but treating, and rewarding yourself has its little rewards girl. I'm a Iraq
veteran and work at a steel mill. You would say I'm a man's man. But now I'm sober and it's a little cheat meal and time to reflect for a brief time. I know it's hard to say,but F@#k those non alcoholic beverages like N.A. beer or wine. I dida 6 day detox and 28 day rehab and never picked up one of those drinks. Don't waste your money on that S!@T GIRL!!!
I'm going to be the bad guy here that says everything nobody wants to hear. I only speak from experience. When we first start out on our sober journey, we want to hang on to the drinking scene without the alcohol. We like to give the appearance that we are drinking something sparkly without letting anyone know that it doesn't have alcohol in it. If that makes sense.
What I found that worked for me is I simply stopped hanging around places where they serve alcohol. If I have to have something to drink, I'm quite content with a small soda pop or a cup of coffee.
Or even better yet, sparkling clean water.
The problem with drinking these mocktails, and I'm sure there's somebody on here that's going to say that they've been drinking mocktails for years and have never had a problem. And that's okay.
What I have seen more often than not is that when people drink mocktails sooner or later when they're in the right frame of mind they decide that a mocktail is just not enough and they want the real thing. Now we are back to square one again.
The only thing you have to change in sobriety is everything.
I speak from experience and that's only my view. That and $3 will buy you a cup of coffee.
Woo hoo !!
Pellegrino is my go too for restaurants if I'm being social. Otherwise I love unsweetened puka iced tea. I've tried all different teas and herbal teas to find which ones I like best. Root beer is also one I enjoy on occasion. Variety is the key. I never really likes the NA stuff and they have crazy calories too.
SOOOOO TRUE DAVE!!! I been struggling with addiction 18 to 20 years. I don't even know anymore. I back you up 100 percent!!
Couldn't agree more!
Added you to watch your journey ! Very happy for you ! Keep going !

Also my go to drinks , going out I like the Stella 0%βs no alcohol beer . If not I love Teas , making my own is super fun !
I drink Budweiser Zero
In every negative a positive exists. I guess covid is good for something after all
Very true but congrats on the first week.
Keep it up! I tried the alcohol free wine and beer. Most have around 0.5 % alcohol and they all made me want to drink. But I'm no doctor, so who knows!
I just drink a ton of coffee, Coke Zero and flavored soda waters!!! If Iβm out somewhere and others are drinking I always keep a soda water and lime in a rocks glass in my hand at all times!
I don't really keep up with what's really keep up with what's really out there anymore. If it is it sure sounds like bad news to me. LOL
Congratulations!!! Keep it going
