Hey everyone,
As I prepare for the next phase of my sobriety journey, moving into a longer, more structured program, my heart is filled with an incredible sense of clarity and purpose. This isn't just about my personal path; it's about a profound understanding that I believe can transform how we all approach our deepest desires and aspirations.
One of the most liberating insights I've gained recently, and my current state of mind, is this:
When it comes to my passions, like writing and speaking, I am choosing to operate with no expectations of how they will manifest, only with an unwavering trust that they will.
The Power of Pure Passion
Think about your own passions. What truly lights you up? For me, it's putting words on paper, connecting ideas, and sharing insights that I believe can empower others. There's a pure, exhilarating energy in that act of creation itself.
Too often, though, we attach strings to our passions. We might say, "I love to write, but it has to become a best-selling book," or "I want to speak, but only if it's on a huge stage." While goals are vital for clarity (and we'll talk more about that another time!), when we cling too tightly to the how – the specific path, timeline, or outcome – we inadvertently introduce friction.
This "how" can carry a subtle, negative "charge." It can be rooted in:
Fear of failure: What if it doesn't happen that way?
Impatience: Why isn't it happening faster?
Scarcity thinking: Is there enough for me to succeed this way?
Ego's control: It must look like this for me to feel validated.
This friction, this subtle resistance, is like trying to drive with the brakes on. It slows down the natural flow, obscures opportunities, and can even deter the very manifestation we desire.
My Current State: Trusting the Flow
Right now, my practice is to lean fully into the joy of the creation itself. When I write, I focus on the words flowing, the ideas taking shape, the feeling of connection. When I envision speaking, it's the clarity of the message and the feeling of shared understanding that I hold, not the size of the audience or the specific platform.
This isn't passivity. It's an active, conscious release of resistance.
It means:
My energy remains high and clear. The positive "charge" of passion and trust is unimpeded.
I open myself to infinite possibilities. The universe, and my own deepest wisdom, knows the most efficient, joyful, and expansive paths for my passions to unfold – paths my limited mind could never fully conceive.
I become more receptive. When I'm not straining to force a specific outcome, I'm better able to perceive the subtle nudges, the synchronistic connections, and the intuitive guidance that leads to the next aligned step.
Why This Matters for You
You have passions, too. You have dreams and aspirations. And just like me, you are a powerful co-creator of your reality.
I encourage you to experiment with this mindset:
Identify a passion or a goal that truly lights you up.
Engage in it purely for the joy of it. Feel the positive energy it generates.
Release your grip on how it absolutely must manifest. Trust that if you maintain the high vibration of passion and intention, the "that it will" is inevitable, and the "how" will reveal itself in the most optimal way.
Notice how this shift in your inner state changes your experience of "time" and "effort." You might find things feel more effortless, more joyful, and even accelerate.
This journey of intentional living is about mastering our inner landscape. By releasing the "how," we free ourselves to dance with the universe, allowing our most authentic, high-vibrational expressions to unfold beautifully, guiding us towards those outcomes that are truly meant for us, and ultimately, for the benefit of all.
