Operation

So I got some bone chopped away in my lower back. Always stayed clear of touching my lower back because of the weight on the spine. Heard horror stories of folk who had it worked on. Would get epidurals every few years instead that worked. Thing is, last couple were difficult to inject from being an old geezer. So I bit the bullet. Doc talked me into getting bone cut away to allow nerves to flow through those pinched disks. I’d never get metal added tho. Never heard a success story because of the weight on that part of spine. Have had neck redone which worked wonders. Actually, kind of turning into a cyborg. Lol. Was invincible growing up and it’s caught up. Yet still pretty healthy believe it or not. Being in sobriety most of my adult life has saved me from illnesses. Not broken chit tho from living a hard life. Anyway, the pain sucks this time and don’t do pain meds. Such is life of an old head addict. Just thank God always for great insurance and having my back 24/7 throughout the years. I stopped picking a fight with him a few years back and he’s been the coolest. Only one will, and it sure ain’t mine. Mine gets me in trouble. Letting another with your best interests in mind works best. Not into religions, just into him. Easy street with a bit of past pain in the mix. Figure another 15 to 20 good healthy years lie ahead as long as I let him do the driving. Works for me.

P.S. a good diet with little sugars works wonders. And no vices such as smoking.

I had a Laminotomy and disectomy done twice . One in 2021 and another one in 2020. They shaved the disc off that was sitting on the nerve. The pain the 1st time was worse then the 2nd time. I took pain meds the 1st time but not the 2nd surgery. I was on pain meds for years and I decided I didn't wanna be dependent on them anymore so I started suboxone to get off the pain meds and I haven't touch one since 2020. If ur in pain don't be afraid to the half of one or lots of Tylenol. Hope u have a speedy recovery

I’m fine with no meds. Not my first rodeo as they say. It passes. Kind of believe you can’t fix an addiction using a different substance. Yet it’s the way of the world today. Thanks for the advice tho. Hope things getting better on your end.

You’re only as old as you feel

Sorry Kev. Gtfo of the cold and rainy ice and snow. Polish up the boots and head to Texas
