Got to sleep in and take care of my almost 3 year old this morning while mom slept off a mini hangover. Got to go to work and be of service cleaning pools. Was able to get home from work and let the maid in to clean the house and help her out. ( mom was at breakfast with friends she was drinking with last night. She was supposed to be home but “forgot” ) Got to meet with a fellow alcoholic for lunch and bring my daughter. Now get to spend time with family and bbq for Fourth of July…. Wait I get to do schoolwork and invest in myself… choices… brought the dogs with me too… unload the truck to reload later to work tomorrow…. Wait I’m employable… been a busy day and it’s not over… story of my life the last 3 years… only just over a year sober… oblivion sounds wonderful just to escape… breathe… let go and let God… asking for help… it’s going to pass…
