I am 433 days sober :grin:. I went to the hospital last year on June 1st with life threatening consequences due to my alcoholism. I spent 5 and 1/2 months of 2020 in the hospital. I was blessed to have received and accepted 2 organ transplants 10 months ago today. I had to work extensively with doctors and physical therapist to get to where I am now - healthy, loved, in my own apartment and working. I do need to where a brace on my left foot to walk due to nerve damage.

My disease brought me to a lot of pain in the past but a miracle and sobriety have given me a second chance at life. I am safe, loved and healthy.

Recovery is beautiful no matter how you get there. Whenever you make it there, you are on time.

Melissa, congrats on 433 days. Your story is an example of just how our rock bottoms are all different but sobriety is the same. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m very happy to hear you’re doing well from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. Keep up the good work. Attitude of gratitude!

:pray: One of my old sponsors used to tell me all the time, "Miracles are all around us!" and you certainly are a miracle! Your drive for sobriety and fight for life are unparalleled! Glad to hear you are happy and healthy! :grin:
