Thank you so much for saying this. I need all the possible support. Today is day 2 for me

Feel free to message me! I’m back on day 1
:frowning: definitely feel your pain

Hang in there. Get to a meeting and listen for the similarities. Others have recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body.

Thank you so much >3

Your welcome. There is a solution. I found it in the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous. Maybe you will too.

Anything is possible as long as you stay honest, willing, and open minded. Praying for you.

Define your goals, I mean really define them. Write them down. Take a look at your life. What do you want to get better, specifically? Why?

I definitely know what starting over is like. I was in and out of Alcoholics Anonymous for many years before I got sober for the first time in 2002. I stayed sober for almost 9 years and relapsed. 3 years later I had to start all over again.

And before 2002 I started over many, many times. So yes I know what starting over feels like. Sooner or later you are going to have a desire to drink again and when that desire comes I want you to play the scene all the way forward. What will happen if you pick up that drink? You might feel relieved for a short time but it doesn't last long.

When you wake up you will have much regret and you will have more guilt to carry around knowing that you accomplished nothing and now you are back to square one again.

It's called believing the LIE; that this time, everything will be okay. But it never is, is it?
Best advice I can give you if you want to have the best chance at getting sober and staying sober is not to do it on your own.

I'm not saying that Alcoholics Anonymous is the only way but I can tell you it is the way that worked for me. You should start by going to 90 meetings in 90 days and if at the end of that time you don't feel that you are as alcoholic as the rest of us are, we will refund your misery.

This link will take you to the app for both platforms.

Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path.

I am struggling daily. Relapsed after 2 years sobriety. This is not me. I don’t want to do this.

You can do this

Good morning. One day at a time is the only way that I have made to 22 months. This is not easy but death from this is far worse. We need to fight daily. Reach out to others in recovery, get a network of sober friends. Find meeting. Zoom makes that easy. There is nothing better than having people that you can call. Keep coming here. This is a great forum.

You're not the first person to relapse and you certainly won't be the last. Count Your blessing. You're not in prison. You're not in a hospital. Learn from it and move on. What did you accomplish by this relapse? Absolutely nothing, right? Read the above comment that I made for the OP.
Life really does get better after sobriety but it's strongly depends on what we put into it. Think of it this way. We didn't get this way overnight and we're not going to get better overnight.

I've heard it said that it's 10 miles into the woods and 10 miles back out. I've been sober for over 8 years and I have absolutely nothing to cry abut. I have many blessings.

One day at a time!

Definitely get to a meeting. You don’t want to be by yourself
