I need help staying sober from alcohol because I feel like a failure. I don't have a sponsor. But every time I ask someone to be my sponsor they say no.

Alex.. You're NOT a failure. I'll do and walk you through the 12 steps. You can do this. Just don't drink for the rest of the day.

Definitely not a failure - you've already accomplished Step 1! That's a huge accomplishment. And then you reached out here... another win. Try calling your local AA Intergroup if you're still needing a sponsor. That's what the 12th step calls are for. And if you can't find your city's Intergroup, Seattle has a 24hr line with calls from all over the nation.

Alex ... Why are they saying no to be your sponsor. There has to be a reason why. Add me. Is there something we are missing or is not being mentioned?
Keep trying , keep going to the meetings . Get a big book and read it and a step book try to identify not compare go to meetings long enough you will hear your story.

I feel you there. Truly I never could figure it out but guess wht Im still sober and it has been 11 yrs. You have the strength and there is something guiding you. You are courageous to ask for help. I believe in you.
