Positive Reinforcement in Recovery

Having people in your life that help with recovery is important. Having people that positively push you and help you achieve your goals is very important. They are people we rely on, to give us advice and so forth.

I know having family and friends that help me achieve my goals and push me to better has helped me tremendously.

Quick question! Who is someone that helps push positively in your life?

First of all, my Dad. I also have a very kind and patient counselor and sponsor. Other than that, it's my small group near me (AA), and that's a start. I am in the process of establishing new and firm boundaries with my former associates. They probably don't like that. Irrevelent. My group members, counselor, and Dad are enough t5o make a start. I have too. It's refreshing, people who are accountable and who will hold me accountable. This is not a time for half measures. It's critical. Thanks for your wisdom.
