I’ve learned this in the last 11 months, I am powerless over other people, places and things but I can choose to listen to the voice of reason that reminds me that I’ve always known where inner peace, serenity and reason reside and how to breathe into that space of mindfulness where love and healing are always present and that without community, I have no mirror to reflect what I need to see…what is present.

Good stuff Oscar! Awareness of this powerlessness is in itself so powerful. It enables us to acknowledge the feelings that come from the need to try and control things we can’t control. The anxiety, fear, anger, frustration, and resentment that come from not accepting this powerlessness are overwhelming. Today we can choose to pause and take a step back. We can choose to to see and accept our powerlessness, and enjoy the freedom with letting it go. It’s not always easy to do, and it takes a daily program to remind us of this choice that we do have. These are some of the things we have do have control over. We have a choice to rewire our thinking so that we can live in peace. It’s quite powerful to accept our powerlessness
