Processing feelings & letting them go

I'm grateful that I've learned how to process feelings in s healthy way and let them go. I'm sick with a bad cold and bad to cancel a work trip to Sacramento I was looking forward to. Because it was so close to the event, I wasn't able to get any refunds on the hotel or conference. Instead of ignoring my frustration, I let myself feel it, cry a bit, then let it go. Something I never had the tools or understanding to do before I entered recovery. Today will be filled with lots of rest, water, tea and soup in hopes of quickly kicking this cold!

Great perspective on identifying emotions and not identifying with the emotions. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the rest, I hope you feel better soon

It’s so powerful how you handled your powerlessness! Sounds kinda funny, but that’s what recovery is all about! Feel better

Thanks everyone!

Look at you feeling the feelings and moving through them! It can be especially tricky when we are not physically feeling well either. Nice work!
