Productive day of relaxing

I didn’t do much today other than learn insightful topics on youtube lol but that’s okay i’m still content. Im at least not using and I can say i’m in a better place. Just because I stayed home all day doesn’t mean I gotta be hard on myself. I hope others early in sobriety can be easy on themselves because hey at least your not using !! Take it on day at a time and one tasks at a time.
✵✰𖤓Im going to make myself dinner tonight on the menu is: Almond butter and banana sandwich.
What are some of your favorite easy meals to make ?

Learning to just be takes practice. In early recovery weekends were very difficult for me. I was ok when I was super busy at work, but I was not comfortable when I had downtime. I’m a lot better today, but I still have those squirrelly moments. It’s a good sign that you’re able to chill and keep your mind at peace! I live on almond butter and bananas on Dave’s Killer bread!

I always tell my sponsees in early recovery that not every day has to bring about substantial growth and achievement. People in early recovery tend to wanna take on the world all at once and retrieve everything they lost in their addiction in one day. I know I was like that. Some days we have to slow down and just be in the moment because it's real easy to overdue it and burn yourself out if we're not careful. Self-care is extremely important... And I LOVE a cashew butter and banana sandwich with a drizzle of honey :relaxed:
