Inch-worming this coil down so I can pull the shock and add the lift spacer.

Nice. I have a VW Sportwagen that I lifted a total of 3.5 inches.

Glad you’re doing it right. That can be super dangerous if you’re careless or inexperienced.
Send me a pic of your old rims and tires. I think I remember we talked about them maybe fitting the truck I’m working on
It's been tough getting the spring compressed enough to fit the spacer in. But I have a plan to use the compressors and jack together tomorrow.
The rims are 8x6.5", but I've decided to keep them as spares for now. When I do the next truck I'll have extras.
What’s the temperature outside where you are? You may find heating those springs up will help a lot. Especially if it’s cold 
I’ve got the engine pulled from my truck. It’s hanging in a cherry picker supported by an old tire right now. Tomorrow it goes on an engine stand and I’ll tear into it. I hope. It seems super clean for being 60 years old. Still has original paint under the valve cover.
