How has your quality of life improved since getting sober and living the life of recovery?
Ebbs and flows
I actually can leave the house in the evening, before I would fire up a cocktail or 6 and pass out. Did it for 17 years. My life was drinking at home every night.
To keep it real, I've been in and out. I find the most success when I shine a light for others. That's when I can see what's in front of me.
Part of my quality of life in sobriety is based on my attitude. My new positive attitude has improved my quality of life.
I was going down the road of disillusion degradation and almost death.
Today I'm healthy physically, big turn around. Mentally I struggle, however it hasn't gotten worse. Some say I'm doing great. I'm always the last one to see it.
Being sober changes you, I have dedicated my time to filling the gap in the gym working on my health. At times I notice the change in me and have a harder time figuring out how to act sober.
It does and it doesn’t. Life isn’t supposed to be easy, with or without alcohol. Sobriety is a tool that help you face instead of dodging from life’s challenges.
