I think about the ocean. Not just the sight of it, but the sound of waves and the smell the salt water. Its like I’m actually there.

Abby this is an excellent question! For me, I connect to God through prayer, meditation and conversations. God is within me all the time. When I put that thought first, God, I can feel the mystical power flowing through me. I begin to experience life with purpose and direction. I’ve become in tune with this sense of love, compassion, kindness, and tolerance. It’s living in each moment that brings me joy and peace as well as sadness and sorrow. I’m learning I that it’s ok to be in a funk(lows) and excited :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: (highs) as every feeling “shall pass”
God is good

I’d have to say that I do my best to naturally connect with everything in my environment. Allow myself to feel it all and observe it all, without the need to enhance what simply is

Like ZZ Top says in there song. You may not see him in person but he'll see you just the same. I believe if you slow down and pay attention you'll find that to be true

Prayer yes! But reading religious books like "Jesus Calling" or classical C. S. Lewis and listening to podcasts like "The Bible in a Year" help me feel connected or at least focused.

3rd step prayer everyday.
Share the readings via group text with some of the guys.
Try to breathe, see, smell the good in the world and be a part of that good.

God will speak to you through other people if you listen carefully. He will answer the questions you never spoke.

Working with others; y'all are God with skin on! Even talking to another person allows me to connect with a power greater than myself; 2>1. If I actively look for him, I'll see his hands are in everything; I don't even believe in coincidences.

I talk to him in the car mostly. I am a recovering alcoholic but also suffer road rage (control is a heck of a character defect). So when I feel it I talk to my hp.
