How do you respond to a friend or family member that asks if you are “sure” that you don’t want to drink/an edible?

They just don’t, can’t, and will never quite understand. Don’t take it personally. A good firm 100% sure is perfect.

I’d be completely honest with yourself and that person. Let them feel the words when you explain the unhealthy/unhappy moments it brought to your life.

I’ve always been super straight and told them that stuff was f’ing up my life and I deserve better. They usually can’t think of a comeback to that and leave me alone.
