On top of becoming clean and sober, yesterday I have decided to quit vaping as well. I'm nervous bc some days I'm irritable and snappy from PAWS but I already know one of the nicotine withdrawal symptoms is irritability. I'm scared I'm going to become a b**ch. Anyone experience this process? How did you get through?
I get through it by praying. And only you can control your behavior. Get a workout routine and stick to it. Walk at least 8,000 steps every day and increase that goal as time goes on. Good luck.
Awesome idea! Thank you

Easy does it we want to get well asap, just try it a day at a time.
Good for you. I chew nicotine gum. I quit…. Can’t get past week 3:grimacing:

I like that you said through it. It’s like you already know it’s likely to be only temporary. That being said ultimately being irritable or being a b!tch isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. A lot of times being a pleaser prevents growth. I still smoke cigarettes and I was going to quit when I first joined AA but my sponsor said it might be too much because nicotine users tend to find it does help regulate anxiety. I think I would have quit smoking but I’m living a day at at time and that’s ancient history. I do have five years sobriety and I encourage you to let go and hang on for the ride. Flexiblility is a good thing.
I quit nicotine once I was about 4.5 months sober. I’m glad I did not try to do everything at once.
Been there. Feels good though. I think it’s been like 4 years now. Stay firm.
I’ve been trying to quit too for my health. I need an operation and they won’t do it if I’m smoking it’s a life and death matter at this point I’ve been stuck in the house for two years because my legs have sores on them like blisters and they’re wrapping them every week now up until surgery I have to quit. I know that I have to pray a lot. I’m in a wheelchair right now it’s smoking is so bad for us. It’s probably one of the worst drugs ever. Does anybody have any good advice
I’m new here
Will love to meet friends
