So...I've been a partier/drinker since I was 13. Functional for most of my life but a heavy vodka drinker for at least 15 years. At my worst it was about a liter a day with some days approaching a handle. No longer functional.
First time I tried to quit like 11 years ago, my liver enzymes were through the roof. Like 10 times normal. Tested again after 2 months and things were much better but not normal.
I've gotten sober and relapsed so many times I have lost count long ago. This is the longest I've been sober in over a decade. 174 days, almost 6 months.
Was scared/curious what my liver function looked like so I went and got blood work done yesterday and got the results today.
My liver function levels are perfectly normal. It's pretty incredible really. I really can't believe it. I am soooo lucky.
Happy Saturday everyone. Be good. Be nice. Be easy.

. Some of the best news I had ever gotten either. Oh and I was about a liter vodka a day too but a handle....whew, my hats off to you there. You're liver had to be working over time.
