Really could use someone to talk to right now.

Proud of myself for making it two weeks sober. Getting my life back together. Started my new job. School starts next week. Need this brain fog to clear.

Good job on two weeks sober. That’s amazing. It gets better! Keep after it. Don’t quit before the miracle

What type of brain fog?

Like I’m on auto pilot. Just going through the motions.

Two weeks is something to be proud of. Sounds like you have some exciting changes happening soon. Reach out anytime.

You have done the hardest two weeks already. Keep coming back your brain will continue to make new neural pathways for at least 18 months! And you will have lots of good things coming your way:ok_hand::pray::sun_with_face:🫂:clap::clap:

Two Weeks is a great accomplishment. For me it literally took about 90 days to feel energetic and not on Autopilot. It's different for everyone. Just know it gets sooooo much better

My therapist said the first couple months of sobriety will have bouts of feeling “grey or monotone” (his words) while our brains recalibrate.
Which is. Of course just what we need on top of the stress of life and changing our lifestyle :expressionless:
But the good news is that this too, shall pass. 🩵
Hang in there

It's going to take a little time (which will feel like a long time sometimes), but eventually our brains do have the capacity to repair themselves.
Most of us have a deficiency of thiamine (B1 vitamin) from years of alcohol consumption. B vitamins, plenty of sleep, water, walks, and sober people to talk to are an amazing combination for early sobriety.
You've done the hardest 2 weeks, keep it up!!

Well, whether you feel it or not, you are growing. Every time you deal with uncomfortable feelings or lack of feelings sober, you are becoming stronger and progress is being made. It's usually natural to avoid adverse feelings, but when you view adversity as an opportunity to grow, it makes it so much easier. The fog won't last forever!
